​After-Cleaning Safety & Drying Instructions

1. Prevent Slipping:
   To avoid slipping on hard floors next to a damp carpet, please place a towel, cloth, or floor mat along the edge of the wet area. This will also serve as a reminder to walk carefully.

2. Carpet Drying Guidelines:

   • Warm Days: Turn all fans on high speed and keep all windows and doors open to allow maximum airflow.

   • Hot Days: Turn on the A/C, close all windows and doors, and make sure your fan is running on the highest setting.

   • Cold Days: Turn on the heating system, close all windows and doors, and run a fan on the highest setting.

3. Furniture Placement:
   Do not place any furniture back onto the carpet until it is completely dry. Even slightly damp carpet can trap moisture and may cause odors, staining, or damage.

4. Pet Odor Treatment Notice:
   Pet odor treatments are not guaranteed to be 100% effective, especially if odor has penetrated deep into the padding or subfloor. If you still notice odor, aim a fan directly at the treated area and use an odor-neutralizing spray such as Febreze or Odoban for an additional couple of days.

5. Optional Additional Drying Equipment:
   For faster drying time, Home Depot and Lowe’s offer high-power air blowers for approximately $20 per day. These machines are significantly stronger than household fans and can greatly reduce drying time.
